The company was founded in 1430 AH (2009) by Dallah Al-Baraka Real Estate Development and Wadi el Khalil Investments with the initial goal of creating world class hospitality destinations in the holy cities of Makkah and Madina. The Board soon appointed Dr. Mohammed Al-Jared, one of the region’s most experienced engineering specialist as Chief Executive Officer to ensure fast-track development of its projects. He brings over 30 years’ experience in academia, government and private enterprise to bear on the company’s projects, including an advisory role to the Makkah municipality. In addition, Maad’s senior management includes professionals with decades of experience in construction, real estate, hospitality and asset management. With offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Makkah, the team is focused on creating a center of excellence in hospitality development and asset management. The firm is currently focused on the Maad Hospitality Towers, a 21 building mega-project covering 48,260 m2 just 1.3 kilometers from the Haram. Located on Ibrahim al Khalil Street in al Misfalah district, the project is walking distance from the Haram; and reflects the Board’s strategy of seeking plots with easy access to religious sites.
